Los Angeles based photographer Ken Locker has had a diverse career in photography,documentary films, television and digital media. After graduating from JohnsHopkins University he began his formal pursuit of photography as a student ofMinor White at MIT’s Center for Advanced Visual Studies. He continued his fine  art work in New York, exhibiting in severalgroup shows. Additionally,  he worked in fashion,editorial and portrait photography. His work,  as an independent photographer, appeared inmany publications.

He  then became a documentarydirector/cinematographer/producer winning a number of awards, including anAcademy Award nomination for the feature length film “Backstage at the Kirov”.He then moved into the mainstream of the television  industry as a producer and executive and was involvedin varying capacities on  more than twodozen movies and mini series including “Lonesome Dove” and “The Josephine BakerStory”.  The productions, on which heworked, earned 18 Emmy awards. In the late 90s he moved into the, then nascent,digital media industry where he held senior positions at MGM, Comedy Centraland several start up ventures.

In 2010 he returned to photography full time. His recent  work has included author portraits for Simon& Shuster, The New York Times  and anumber of smaller publishers, as well as editorial assignments for variousprint and online publications. His photographs are in private collections inLos Angeles, New York, Miami, Washington, D.C. and Toronto.
